May Commencement Will Find SUNY Oneonta Students Wearing Caps and Gowns Made from 100% Post-Consumer Recycled Plastic Bottles!
Fewer plastic bottles will be choking our landfills because for every Oneonta student walking at commencement, an average of 23 plastic bottles was used to manufacture their cap and gown.
In the latest effort to go green on campus, the new line of graduation wear – named GreenWeaver – is made of fabric spun from molten plastic pellets. With some 60 million plastic bottles going into U.S. landfills every day, SUNY Oneonta is helping to turn trash into keepsakes.
Payment is due when you pick up your cap and gown at Grad HQ beginning Tuesday, May 8, 2018 11:00-4:00.
